Position Overview
The Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for coordinating internal and external communications, ensuring brand consistency through all marketing materials, assisting with special events, and providing creative and administrative support to the Development & Marketing department.
Additionally, this position will serve as the initial point of contact for all individual and corporate volunteers, as well as overseeing the volunteer experience and data management.
Essential Responsibilities:
Marketing
- Gather, create, and post content for internal and external communications including:
- Social Media Posts
- Website Blog Posts and Updates
- E-Newsletters
- Press Releases
- Oversee implementation of Google Ad Grant spending and performance.
- Develop and create materials and flyers to market and enhance programs and services to families.
- Coordinate with marketing firm for external material graphic design, as needed.
Development
- Assist in department activities, fundraising events, and other special events related to cultivation and recognition of donors.
- Assist in developing materials for donor communications Create marketing materials for all events including print and email invitations, programs, website landing pages, signage, etc.
Community Engagement
- Manges recruitment, training, and recognition of all individual volunteers and corporate volunteer groups.
- Works with department heads to determine areas of need.
- Tracks volunteer hours and information in VolunteerHub.
- Ensures proper background checks are performed for all volunteers and they are fully trained in their area of service.
- Oversees all activities for Sparc, The Arc Jacksonville's young professional group including recruiting and engaging members, planning events, and sending communications.
Compensation & Benefits
- Position is full-time with a starting salary of $45,000.

Minimum Requirements
- Commitment to The Arc Jacksonville's mission, vision, and values Bachelor's degree in related field (marketing, communications)
- Must pass Level 2 background screening
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in a marketing, communications, or customer service role Proficiency in graphic design systems (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, Publisher, and/or Canva)
- Experience with email marketing systems (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
- Experience with website management systems (WordPress, Squarespace, etc.) Experience with social media management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
