Marketing Assistant

THE RANCH Restaurant & Saloon is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Marketing Assistant! The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of content writing, social media strategy, is well organized, and is a proactive self-starter with experience in the restaurant industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with the organization and structure of the department by aiding in the building of various marketing items, including but not limited to: menu changes, social copy, web content and more, as well as providing data reports on web and social health. The Marketing Assistant must have excellent communication skills, working knowledge of InDesign, Lightroom and Photoshop, and the ability to analyze data metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with all marketing projects, activities and campaigns.
• Assist in the build of menu changes and edits.
• Contribute ideas and proactive solutions to all marketing initiatives.
• Organize photo galleries, press clippings, advertisements and other marketing materials .
• Ability to work with various software for digital marketing such as: Meta Business, Trello, Adobe Creative suit, and more. Conduct market research and analyze competitors, identifying marketing trends and key opportunities to enhance marketing strategy.
• Compose drafted content for weekly email blasts and social media content.
• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities- including phone calls, filing, organize and schedule meetings, maintain contact lists, order supplies and manage inventory of merchandise sold in the Saloon.
• Coordinate with team members on updating analytics (web and social media), reviews (Google, OpenTable, Yelp, etc.), and prepare data for staff meetings and presentations.
• Maintain marketing calendar with up-to-date schedules of photoshoots, meetings, etc.
• Provide administrative support to marketing team
• Assist Marketing Manager with various tasks as needed.
• Assist with coordination and completion of on and off-site marketing initiatives and events.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of 2 years minimum in similar roles.
• Hospitality and Food & Beverage required.
• Highly organized and proactive self-starter with attention to detail and strong grammar skills.
• Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred, or equivalent experience .
• Ability to strategize, present ideas, and execute consistent brand messaging.
• Strong social media platform analytical and technical skills; Strategic understanding of Facebook, Instagram etc., ability to build reels and capture content.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically InDesign and Photoshop, and social photo and video production tools.
• Strong research and organizational skills.
• Proven writing skills are a must (brochures, press releases, social posts, website copy, etc.) Writing samples and/or testing may be requested.
• Team player who can effectively prioritize and work on multiple creative projects .
• Ability to working occasional nights, weekends and holidays as-needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
