Job Description
Overview
As the Executive Research Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, Sub-Investigators, and/or Director of Clinical Research Operations to participate in the planning, implementation, and overall direction of clinical research projects conducted on behalf of the sponsors at the organization. They liaise with study team personnel, maintaining a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with the study protocol, standard operating procedures and policies, and participation in team meetings. The following are some of the duties and responsibilities of the position:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Applying study design knowledge and experience to help develop a strategy for implementing study procedures in compliance with the study protocol.
- Preparing and submitting documents to appropriate vendors
- Recruiting research participants to evaluate eligibility for a clinical study by reviewing medical record source documents, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and participants' willingness and capability to
- Assisting the team and Director with clinical research procedures and processes and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Organizing and expediting the flow of work through the research department.
- Interacting with the supervisor’s subordinates to facilitate communications and information exchange.
- Composing and producing a variety of business correspondence, reports, confidential documents and/or forms, and related materials.
- Ensuring confidentiality and control of access to sensitive information.
- Managing multiple calendars and scheduling complex meetings.
- Screening and prioritizing incoming calls, emails, and requests. Determining what contact or action is required for satisfactory disposition. Responding to inquiries, requests for information, or referring to Director, as appropriate.
- Setting up monitors/CRAs with office space, access cards, parking, keys, computers, email, and other office equipment, as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors that support research and facility operations.
- Implement safety and social distancing protocols, ensuring staff and patients adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Company Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and a background check to include a 7-year criminal, 10-year SSN & employer history reference check.
- Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination on the first day of work.

- Must be able to work flexible schedules.
- Must take yearly flu shots or wear flu mask during flu season for patient-facing positions and test for tuberculosis as required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public in person.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dollar totals, monetary conversions, discounts, interest, fractions, decimals, percentages, area, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve technical and practical problems and deal with various intangibles in situations where only limited communication, support, information, and access exist. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Must have good computer skills and be proficient in the use of systems to complete correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, such as Microsoft Outlook and Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
