Marketing and Communications ManagerFull-time – Remote

Primary Purpose

To serve as the voice of Building Talent Foundation through storytelling to various audiences and to manage the design, development, and implementation of our Marketing and Communications strategy.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.

·        5+ years in marketing, communication, PR, or relevant work experience.

         Excellent writing, story-telling, editing skills.

·        Experience with Skilled Trades (Construction, Plumbing, Electric, HVAC) industry a plus.

 

Skills/Experience:

Exceptional Communication:

·        Expertise in writing, editing, and proofreading with the ability to align voice and tone to various audiences

·        Mastery in storytelling, capable of engaging diverse audiences through various mediums.

·        Excellent presentation and oral communication skills.

·        Superior interpersonal communication skills, fostering positive relationships within and outside the foundation.

Outstanding Organization and Planning:

·        Solid organizational and planning skills, with meticulous attention to detail in writing, layout, and design.

Autonomous Work and Time Management:

·        Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, demonstrating accountability.

·        Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Adaptability and Tech-Savviness:

·        Proven ability to learn and use new software for communication needs.

·        Proficient in MS Office; experience with HubSpot or similar CRM strongly desired.

Enthusiasm for the mission of Building Talent Foundation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

*Manage BTF’s marketing/communications strategy.

*Build and maintain a positive public image and increase awareness of the BTF brand.

*Create communications campaigns that promote careers in the trades.

*Design, create, and publish engaging, brand-consistent deliverables that share the mission and impact of our foundation (newsletters, social media campaigns, presentations, videos, press releases, articles, and flyers).

*Design and manage a social media strategy to build brand awareness and share success stories.

*Assist in managing BTF’s websites (Buildingtf.org and JobstoBuild.com).

*Generate ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations, and other public relations activities that promote awareness of the foundation and its mission.

*Maintain BTF’s contact database, HubSpot, to provide regular communication with partners and social investors. Segment database into categories. Finetune email campaigns to become more strategic, etc.

*Manage internal content calendar and assist CEO and directors with internal communications.

*Build a strong rapport and work with all BTF departments to market deliverables and events and track success of marketing efforts.

*Manage public speaking engagements, assist with slide decks, prepare resources, and follow up after events (press releases, social media, etc.).

*Design and manage new Marketing and promotional materials (business cards, flyers, etc.).

*Network and build strong relationships and contacts outside of the foundation-Editors journalists, freelance writers, and other influencers in the industry.

*Research to stay informed about developments in the residential construction industry.

*Measure and present results of communication efforts to leadership.

*Support additional activities as requested by the CEO.
