The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing best-in-class Social Media marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for critical Social Media marketing functions, including Social Media strategy development and execution; performancemeasurement and reporting; content creation; boosted and paid social strategies; and community and influencer management.
Essential Duties
- Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social Media, this role is for someone who is inspired by and deeply immersed in lifestyle and cultural trends/experiences within the social and travel space.
- Develop and execute annual strategic Social Media marketing plans and expense budgets.
- Create and schedule monthly Social Media content (in-feed posts and IG stories) utilizing a Social Media content management platform.
- Aggregate, analyze, optimize, and report on monthly Social Media performance relative to annual goals.
- Reactively vet and proactively recommend influencer collaborations that align with hotel goals and lead to ROI.
- Manage creation of lifestyle photography, videography, and visual content for use in Social Media
- strategy; including but not limited to mood boards, agendas, shot lists, photographer and talent coordination, etc.
- Engage and manage the community across key platforms to build brand affinity.
- Ensure Social Media strategy aligns with hotels' brand strategy, hotel narrative and style guides.
- Manage boosted posts.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, annual calls.
- Assist in managing agency partners.
- Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with digital marketing and revenue strategy colleagues as well as hotel GM, DOSM and key property stakeholders to ensure cohesion.
- Measure performance relative to specific KPIs including, follower growth and engagement, booked revenue, website traffic, and other relevant key metrics.

Requirements
The critical knowledge, skills, education, and experience an associate must have to perform the core responsibilities as indicated in the job duties/responsibilities. These qualifications are based on the essential duties and responsibilities of the job and relate to what the associate needs to do to perform the job.
Education
- 4-year degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
- 4-5 years of experience in social marketing, managing multiple professional social accounts across major networks
Certifications/Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in all Social Media platforms, and specialty software such as Sprout Social, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Other
- Prior hospitality experience required.
- Experience building and executing Social Media content and strategic campaigns.
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Analytic and quantitative skills - the ability to use data to measure performance.
- Creative and process-oriented.
- Extensive knowledge and direct experience with both organic and paid Social Media content/key platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok)
- Passion for travel, emerging social platforms, digital trends, and content creation
- More than digitally literate; must be at the forefront of trends and new features.
- Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience using a camera and iPhone to create content.
- Excellent writing, language, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience utilizing Sprout Social, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva
- Skilled in using a camera and iPhone to produce photography.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
