Social Media Manager

Strudel3D is an ecommerce business based in Plano, TX where we make and sell mechanical keyboard-inspired fidgets. We're a small team of 5 people.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to ensure we are consistently creating content that resonates with the right audiences. This is an opportunity to gain experience in guiding the way a business communicates and maintains its presence with consumers.

Our goal is to find someone who can learn and grow with us. You don't need to be super experienced at this point. We also will not throw more responsibilities at you than you are comfortable with. The important thing is that you truly enjoy creating content and engaging with a community.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Own the Social Media content calendar and planning process, researching upcoming relevant news, events, and holidays.
• Create engaging Social Media content, primarily short-form video.
• Coordinate with our media buyer on content performance and advertising trends.
• Experiment and use data to inform Social Media strategy.
• Coordinate with the team on product releases and promotional events.
• Respond to and engage with the community across Social Media platforms.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and new features across platforms.
• Adopt the brand’s voice and tone across content work.

Because this is part-time, you won't necessarily need to cover all of these. Depending on your skillset and availability, we can narrow these down to what's most impactful.

Essential Skills:

• Content creation
• Community management
• Copywriting is a plus

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of TikTok and Instagram (Email or Pinterest is a plus).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Have high awareness of Social Media trends and where trends are in their life cycle
• Previous work that we can get an idea of your creative style from. If you have a Social Media account that demonstrates your skills, that's even better.

Location:

• Hybrid - anything that can be done remotely, you are welcome to do so. Our photography setup is in-office if you need to use it. We're near Coit and Mapleshade in Plano.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
