Social Media Manager Job Description
Social Media Manager is responsible for proactively planning, implementing, managing and monitoring Love Cycling Studio’s Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales.
Key skills and talents include:
Research
- Note new trends, read the most recent and relevant blogs on social marketing, and be able to find answers to questions or difficulties one may encounter.
- Research what to write and where to write it in order to understand these differences and know how to adapt with content.
Content creation
- Map out a strategy and be the “voice” for Love Cycling Studio by understanding our brand identity and following the Mission Statement of the studio as well as our foundation for success
- Ensure the content creation keeps Love Cycling Studio “relatable, fresh and relevant”
- Utilize various resources to collect content and various channels in which to present the content such that we drive follower engagement and help drive revenue
- Develop visual content - the ability to write well and to develop visual content like photographs or videos, or various other types of visual content
- The ability to do graphic design, use Photoshop, or have any kind of video editing skills is a plus
Organization and planning
- Weekly schedules, goals, deadlines, and monthly and quarterly projections are really important in the role. Organization, diligence, and staying on top of things are keys to success.
- Conducting collaborative sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collective idea sharing
Engagement
- Engage with individuals ( as the “voice” of Love Cycling Studio) who comment and interact on our Social Media feed and reach out to similar businesses and other users who interact with industry brands.
- Study other Social Media accounts (industry and non industry specific) to ensure our voice remains relevant and on brand
- Proactively produce content that drives higher engagement levels
Copywriting
- Understand how to take a lot of information about our product or service and condense it into a concise statement—sometimes even a few words. Ensure the feed is on brand and relatable to our followers and potential followers
Customer service
- Social media engagement equals customer service and our mission is to provide an unparalleled customer experience. Come up with new ideas for chat and email responses, post engagement, campaigns, and understanding how people want to interact with the LOVE brand directly, all with a focus on service and community.
Photography and Videography
- As needed
Utilizing the skills as defined the Job Duties Include:
- Have a presence in the studio, engaging with the team, the community and management. May work remotely but needs to be on-site and present a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Define Strategic Vision or Creative Vision as the “voice” of LOVE
- Content Capture and Creation for multiple social channels - Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok, etc..
- Social media (IG + FB) posting daily or as best practices dictate- to include Reels
- Social media IG Story creation and posting
- Create and post Tik Toks to follow trends
- Ensure consistent communication to the FD, management and instructor team regarding happenings in the studio/marketing
- Manage 1-2 events per month to include Pop Ups and Events as needed
- Pop Ups- attended by the Social Media Marketing Manager -Pop ups are usually small, mutually beneficial activities that align with the mission of LOVE-
- Event - attended by the Social Media Marketing Manager - Events are usually larger, multi-party,collaborative efforts. Coordination with the Front Desk manager and with the Social Media Marketing Manager organizing and leading the effort. It is a team approach- Communication is key across the teams.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
