Brief Department / Job Description

The Enterprise Services Accounting & Controllership org has an exciting leadership opportunity for an Accounting Manager.  The successful candidate will manage a team responsible for heritage Raytheon General Accounting, with a focus on Accounts Payable & Cash. The candidate will work closely with AP, T&E, Disbursements, ES FP&A, OTC, Treasury, SAP Core Team, and hUTC General Accounting, and have exposure to Senior Management.

Applicants must have strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to analyze, streamline and implement process improvements is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and provide direction for a team of accountants while focusing on process improvement and best practices utilizing CORE
• Perform analysis of account balances to help ensure accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Present recommendations and updates to leadership
• Respond to audit inquires and requests in a timely manner
• Ensures compliance of accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Adhere to strict deadlines
• Work closely with leadership team to meet department goals and develop long term department strategy

Required Qualifications

• Relevant accounting experience, preferably including time spent focused on Accounts Payable and Cash
• Ability to lead and develop talent
• Ability to ensure accuracy in account reconciliations and journal entries through detailed review resulting in adherence to our control framework
• Experience in developing effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to work collaboratively across organizations to resolve problems
• Must be a self-starter that is well organized and able to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications

• Heritage Raytheon experience

Experience and Education

• This role typically requires a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field and 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience

Work Authorization Status:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools/sites that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
