Role Overview:
The Maintenance Team Lead works in conjunction with other members of the maintenance department to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met with little downtime through preventative and multi-craft maintenance. This position will perform a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain building and property maintenance, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics and pneumatics while training and leading the broader team.

Hours: Between 9:00 am- 5:00 pm Monday through Friday - Occasional Saturday's or Sunday's may be required. On call availablity is a must.
Principal Duties as Maintenance Technician:
• Perform all duties in a safe manner. • Create daily/weekly schedule of tasks.
• Approve and record vacation schedules and attendance, approvals from Maintenance Supervisor .
• Complete the necessary record keeping and documentation encompassed with all programs.
• Problem solve any people or equipment related issues on production and packaging floors as they occur. Document problem issues as they occur and complete written reports with pictures and details to Facilities Manager.
• Lead employees to meet organizations expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishments.
• Conduct and oversee department training and coaching.
• Assist with employee reviews and employee relations.
• Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, inspection equipment, and material handling equipment.
• Detects fault operations, defective machines and report those and any usual situations to proper supervisor.
• Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and requirements, as well as Ornua' s company policies and procedures.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Performs any additional maintenance related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
• Associates degree or certification preferred but not required • Must have 7-10 years of maintenance experience
• Experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance preferred
• Electrical experience required - High Voltage (408 V) and low or control voltage
• HVAC experience a plus but not required
• Must have a basic understanding of plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical schematics
• Able to read and comprehend standard operating procedures
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to lead, communicate and motivate employees
• Strong basic math skills
• Knowledge of GMP's and OSHA is highly desirable
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to drive resolution
• Independent thinker who can work in a fast paced and ever-changing organization
• Ability to make sound, independent decisions and handle multiple projects at once
• Basic computer skills are a must
• Well organized and attentive to detail
• Must be a team player with a can-do attitude
• Ability to represent company in upbeat and professional manner
