Job Description
Dana Shores Recovery is a 6-bed detox/residential facility. We are looking for an LVN for the following shifts
We are currently looking for someone to work 8 am to 8 pm Saturday and Sunday. This is subject to change as the company grows with-in a few months.
1. Completion of detoxification-related duties such as completion of CIWA, Cows, Ciwa-B, Vital Signs, Nursing Assessments, and other IMS-related functions.
2. Observe patient self-administration of medications.
3. Documentation in the patient file.
4. Communication with IMS physician and other outside physicians where outside referral may be indicated.
5. Records patient observations and activities in patients records accurately and timely in accordance with DHCS regulations and company policies and procedures.
6. Actively and compassionately interact with patients to encourage engagement in treatment after completion of detoxification services.
7. Perform routine laboratory procedures such as preparation of lab sheets and basic preparation of testing materials.
8. Conducts non-technical routine laboratory tests and procedures under the direction of professional staff.
9. Opens, separates, numbers, and arranges specimens for laboratory examination and trace/document results.
10. Document lab results in the patient file.
11. Maintain inventory of supplies.
12. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and clean the work area after use.
13. Provide patient education on health care, as assigned or appropriate.
14. Implements safety and emergency procedures during fire drills and other disaster procedures, with assistance to patients in the detox and residential programs.
15. Attends regularly scheduled detox staff meetings.
16. Follows all policies and procedures with regard to patient information protection, including alcohol-drug patient confidentiality (42 CFR) and HIPAA (45 CFR).
Maintains and demonstrates current working knowledge of applicable clinical procedures and nursing care based on the company policy and State and Federal guidelines.

- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of [Location]
- Proficient in performing nursing procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and medication administration
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including children and adults
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Kipu) for documentation purposes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Knowledge of family planning, dermal fillers, dialysis, and health coaching is a plus
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
