Detox Nurse

Compass Recovery is hiring for their Residential Detox/RTC facility. It is a 12 bed facility (6 female/6 male bed). Saturday and Sunday AM shift and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Swing shift. Looking for Part Time or Full Time.

We are looking for a qualified nurse to promote and restore patients’ health. You will work with a variety of patients in our Detox/Mental Health facility and you will provide direct nursing care along with physical or psychological support.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them
• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support and crisis management.
• Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems to supervisor and/or physician
• Implement and follow through with medical/psychiatry orders
• Create Nursing Care Plans and document on them weekly
• Healthcare case management with following orders and making outside appointments
• Assess patients via physical exam and using CIWA/COWS assessment tools and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, medication pass and injections etc)
• Monitor and record patient’s condition and document provided care services
• Responsible for Healthcare duties and concerns during the shift
• Work as part of the Healthcare team and be open to taking lead on shift and leadership projects
• Treat medical emergencies
• Facilitate health and wellness group
• Follow care regulations and standards via Compass Recovery Policy and Procedures.
• Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team
• Performs healthcare portions of Intake and discharge process

• Proven nursing experience
• Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
• Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
• Compassionate with good communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Nursing License active in California

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

• Detox: 1 year (Required)
• Residential detox/mental health: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Nursing License (Required)
• RN (Preferred)
• LVN (Preferred)
• RADT (Preferred)
