No Matter What Recovery Detox (Los Angeles, CA) seeks bright, creative, and passionate individuals to join our evidence-based, substance use detoxification and residential treatment program. We have a focus on LGBTQ+ affirming care and offer a trauma-informed approach; providing individualized and comprehensive holistic programs that include clinical and experiential practices.
JOB PURPOSE: The Licensed Vocational Nurse role is to efficiently oversee any and all medication issues related to detox and residential clients, as well as train staff on detox protocols. The LVN will be the lead trainer for all Behavioral Health Technicians on medication observation and protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with the consulting Physician and Staff to help determine detoxification protocol,
doctors orders, and medication clarification
2. Assess Clients for any detoxification symptoms
3. Assist with medication observation protocol, policies/systems, and Infection Control
4. Create and implement house policies for various Detox needs and Medication needs
5. Medication Destruction
6. Inputting, logging and auditing all medications and evaluations for Detox clients
7. Auditing all Client medication observation
8. Resolving Pharmacy insurance issues for Detox Clients
9. Facilitating refills for Detox clients
10. Possible on-call phone service for any Detox medication issues
11. Oversees, trains, and completes all necessary Infection Control duties
12. Oversight of communication with treatment team and Medical Director and following up with medical/medication concerns for all No Matter What Recovery Detox clients.
14. Forward all controlled medication refusals to appropriate staff
15. Audit intake emails sent out by staff
16. Audit and sign off on all Detox evaluations, Nursing Assessments and Nutritional Screens
17. Audit all physician evaluations: referrals, labs, follow-ups etc
18. Ensure all client’s medications are picked up in a timely manner and the orders are
entered in accurately
19. Audit DHCS Health Questionnaire
20. Audit Client Face-Sheet to ensure all appropriate information is updated including client
Insurance Info has been inputted
21. Update the Client board daily with proper detox protocols and notify staff of any
changes
22. Communicate with clients regarding medications, and doctors orders.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1.Holds licensure as an LVN according to state licensing professional board
2. Has a minimum of 1 year experience in the treatment of behavioral health / substance abuse disorder
REQUIREMENTS:
1. CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate
2. KIPU proficiency
3. Qualified candidates must pass mandatory health and drug screen, have had a tuberculosis (TB) test 60 days prior to hire or at minimum 7 days after employment, and complete and pass annual TB testing as well as a health Screening.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Compensation is competitive and based on experience; company provides 80 hours of vacation pay (which begins to accrue after completing 90 days of service) and 48 hours of sick pay for full time employees.
