SalaryLegal Billing Specialist/Legal Assistant - Fort Collins, CO - $20 - $30 hourly.
Prior Legal Billing experience in a law firm is preferred.
Our busy law firm is looking to hire an experienced professional to handle and maintain the entire Legal Billing process.
Position is not remote/hybrid.
CLIO, 3E, Aderant or similar Legal Billing software experience is required for this position.
Specific Job Duties:
- Perform legal clerical duties requiring frequent use of initiative and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Generating and reviewing monthly billing reports to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Generating and sending invoices to clients.
- Working with attorneys, support staff, and clients to resolve billing disputes or differences and ensure all the necessary information is included on each bill.
- Recording billable hours and expenses accurately in our accounting system.
- Overseeing and maintaining billing records and file management.
- Assisting with the collection and follow-up on unpaid or overdue invoices.
- Cooperating with other departments and team members to ensure a seamless billing process.
- Assisting with multi-line phone system.
Desired Qualifications:
- 1+ year of related work experience.
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous understanding of Legal Billing and e-billing.
- Experience with basic accounting functions.
- Bookkeeping experience.
- Adequate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong customer service, communication, and writing skills.
- High attention to detail and organization.
- Exceptional multitask abilities.
