We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team in Brooklyn Park, MN. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. Responsibilities:
-Document Preparation: Assist in the drafting and preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
-Case Management: Organize and manage legal files, maintain case calendars, and ensure deadlines are met.
-Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, both in person and over the phone, to gather information and provide updates on case status.
-Legal Research: Conduct legal research as needed to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
-Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
-Court Filings: Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with various courts and government agencies.
-Billing Assistance: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing for legal services.
Qualifications:
-Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred.
-Experience: Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related role is a plus.
-Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
-Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
-Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
-Initiative: Proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative in managing tasks and responsibilities.
