Our Minneapolis office is growing, and we have an immediate opening for a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant. We seek an energetic, experienced, professional to be in the office, providing support to the attorneys and paralegals in meeting the needs and demands of the firm's clients.
You will join a supportive, hard-working team of professionals dedicated to providing creative yet practical solutions to our clients' business problems and needs.
As part of our team, some of the essential duties and responsibilities will include:
- Compose basic or routine letters/transmittal e-mails.
- Electronic filing for cases in federal court, primarily district of Minnesota.
- Electronic filing for cases in Minnesota state court, including Office of Administrative Hearings.
- Electronic filing for cases in Wisconsin state court.
- Maintain calendars for attorneys, including court hearings, settlement conferences, depositions, and deadlines for federal, state, and workers’ compensation litigation cases.
- Schedule conference calls with multiple parties using Doodle polls or similar tools to coordinate calendars.
- Format court pleadings and discovery documents, including tables of contents, and other word processing tasks, proofreading for spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Enter attorneys’ time entries and assist with client billing process.
- Open files.
- Make travel arrangements and complete expense reports.
- Create and maintain project lists and assignments.
- Obtain/maintain contact information for clients, service providers and related parties.
- Serve as back-up to other assistants.
- Availability to work some overtime as needed to facilitate the timely completion of client deliverables and court filings.
This position requires superior administrative skills and strong client service acumen. You must be a professional with 7-10 years of Legal Administrative assistance experience. A Bachelors' Degree is a plus.
