Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinating and supervising the activities of the leasing department to ensure maximum occupancy of a student apartment community.
- Overseeing and training leasing staff on all functions necessary to close the sale including making appointments, generating new leads, conducting sales tours, maintaining the clubhouse and model room, and any follow-up necessary.
- Producing and coordinating the publication of advertisements for print, digital, and social media.
- Organize and attend marketing events as needed including after hours and some weekends.
- Managing and implementing the leasing process and systems.
- Develop and execute a detailed marketing plan.
- Qualify and execute lease agreements.
- Responsible to perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 2 years’ experience in leasing and sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in the student housing, apartment or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business correspondence and leasing documents.
- Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Great ability to effectively use and navigate computers, tablets, social media, and software including Microsoft office and property management software.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage a team.
- Must be willing to work holidays and/or weekends for special events, when necessary.
- Must be available for the entire month of August and be available for overtime, as needed during “turn” season.
- Must participate in after hours on-call responsibilities and be within a 25-minute drive of the assigned property.
- Must be willing to travel for company events, conferences, and to assist other properties.
