Leasing Agent

```Duties```
As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants in finding and leasing residential properties. Your primary duties will include:

- Conducting property tours and showcasing available units to potential tenants
- Responding to inquiries and providing information about rental properties
- Screening and qualifying applicants by reviewing rental applications and conducting background checks
- Negotiating lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants
- Assisting with the completion of lease agreements and related paperwork
- Collecting rental payments and ensuring timely rent collection
- Addressing tenant concerns and resolving any issues that may arise during the tenancy
- Coordinating move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections

```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants
- Excellent phone etiquette to handle tenant inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software to manage leasing activities and maintain accurate records (preferred not reqired)
- Familiarity with Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs to assist eligible tenants in finding suitable housing options (preferred not required)
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures related to leasing agreements, including fair housing regulations and eviction processes
- Exceptional customer service skills to address tenant concerns and maintain positive relationships with residents
- Strong administrative abilities to handle paperwork, maintain records, and ensure compliance with leasing policies and procedures
- Basic understanding of real estate administrative tasks, such as property marketing and market research
- Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with tenants or other stakeholders in a professional manner
