Learning Management Systems Administrator In Organizational And Talent Development (Human Resources)

UTHealth is seeking a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to join our Training and Development Team within Organizational and Talent Development. This is an opportunity to work with a best-in-class LMS within a Forbes designated top workplace. In this role, the administrator serves as a champion of the LMS. This involves being responsible for administration of system functionality; building out essential training curriculum, courses, and activities; plus streamlining data connectivity with other systems for process improvement; and oversight of the system's operations. In addition, this role will be a key collaborator working across the institution with IT/HRIS colleagues ensuring the optimal use and performance of the system. This role is classified as salaried and exempt, and it is full-time. It will be work from home flexible but will require some presence in the office which is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center in our University Center Tower building. Position Summary:
Provides technical and operational support for the implementation, update, and administration of the UTHealth Learning Management Systems and integrated applications.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Provides application support to school Learning Management Systems coordinators as well as system users in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of all problems related to the services and its integrated applications.
2. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the UTHealth academic Learning Management Systems, including operational processes and how they are implemented and configured.
3. Performs the installation, development, maintenance, performance monitoring, tuning, vendor contract, and upgrades of the Learning Management Systems and related software.
4. Administers the Learning Management Systems: coordinating course management, course archiving, portal functions, users roles, user privileges and the authentication and authorization of UTHealth and external users. Consults on a regular basis with all appropriate governance bodies.
5. Provides technical support and guidance for system analysts and programmers in support of all aspects of the Learning Management Systems architecture, tools and configuration.
6. Understands and implements standards, policies, and procedures for the Learning Management Systems environments at UTHealth.
7. Maintains current knowledge of products, developments, enhancements, and trends in the Learning Management Systems and related software.
8. Other duties as assigned
Certification/Skills:
* HTML Editors
* RDMS Reporting Tools
* Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and integrated systems and applications.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred in education or in the area of information technology or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
Two years of relevant experience. Must have some Learning Management System or similar e-Learning Management system, Web-based content, relational database or other system software application in a large scale enterprise-wide environment experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
