The Learning & Development Specialist II will play an integral role in facilitating and executing employee development programs. To design and organize training courses by combining creativity, research and analysis of existing materials. Curriculum planning and enrollment coordination to provide an opportunity to work with other departmental professionals and employees on an interpersonal level. Collaborate with other talented instructors to lead training and oversee employee participation. Managing course evaluations and overall productivity to experience the training on a personal level to assess their efficiency and ability to engage.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development of training material used for new and existing employee training.
- Develop & manage eLearning training
- Organize a training curriculum that honors company ethics and conduct, is engaging, and allows trainees the maximum opportunity to participate.
- Evaluate teaching methods to select the options that will aid in the delivery of concepts without unnecessary distraction, downtime, or confusion.
- Contribute to the instruction and presentation of training courses and assess how effectively different methods and material to encourage interaction and participation.
- Prepare training locations by ensuring instructors have all the tools, technical equipment and resources needed to effectively teach a course.
- Oversee general administrative duties, such as coordinating enrollment, scheduling class times and locations, and sending invitation information to all trainees.
- Work closely with assigned department mentors at research site(s) to ensure that new employees are utilizing the training that they have received and be a resource for both mentors and mentees should additional training be required.
- Being prepared for and available at all required company meetings.
- Submitting required administrative paperwork per company timelines.
- Occasionally attending out-of-town training meetings.
- Any other matters as assigned by the management team.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor degree in healthcare admin, nursing or related field required
Experience:
- 3+ years of facilitating and content creation
- Experience authoring eLearning

- Able to understand learning management software
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
- Sound decision making and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effectively interpret policies, procedures, and regulations
