Job Summary:

Join our team as a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst and take charge of transforming data into actionable insights. This position has a depth of knowledge in quantitative analytic methods, data management, and or associated digital technologies suitable to handle the most complex issues. Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, learning to refine solutions to better fit complex situations, making timely decisions, ensuring quality of deliverables, and communicating effectively with all project stakeholders.

What will you do? (Essential Responsibilities)

Drive a data-driven product development culture to optimize digital investments, increasing Rental revenue, and expanding the customer base through enhanced dealer operations and improved product utilization.

• Leadership, Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication: Lead cross-functional teams in developing and executing the R&U BI/Analytics roadmap. Work closely with departments across the organization to understand their data needs and provide solutions that enhance decision-making processes. Effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a data-driven culture throughout the organization. Manage three (3) to four (4) projects concurrently.

• Strategic Collaboration and Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership, product owners, and RU Strategy team to develop and execute the R&U BI/Analytics roadmap, aligning it with organizational goals and priorities.

• Data Analysis and Requirements Gathering: Conduct in-depth analysis of complex business data, providing valuable insights to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. Gather and document business requirements for BI & Analytics, defining KPIs and metrics.

• Reporting and Dashboards: Design and maintain robust reporting systems and interactive dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have access to relevant and timely information.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Desire BS or higher degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, data analytics, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, finance, or other related degree and 6+ years of professional experience utilizing quantitative analysis/ data management (data design, data quality, metadata, governance, etc.) is required, a Master’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in BI tools, Python and SQL.

• Experience with AWS services, Cloud ELT/ETL, Snowflake.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning, and data visualization packages like Power BI and Tableau.

• Knowledge of AWS services, Cloud ELT/ETL, Data Lake solutions (Snowflake/AWS) and applied knowledge of stackable solutions and automation techniques is a plus.

• As a senior role leading project teams, you are expected to have previous experience leading teams and in project management, and should exhibit above average initiative, the ability to delegate tasks, and demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Strong consultative skills, initiative, and the ability to communicate and tell compelling stories with data.

TOP CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE:

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycle across traditional data warehouses, relational databases, operational data stores, Business Intelligence reporting, as well as new concepts such as data fabrics, data mesh, and data lake house.

• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concepts

• Experience creating data solutions as well as conceptual and logical data models

• Experience with metadata managers, data profiling tools, data cataloging tools and visualization tools

• Experience with solution integration or solution architecture practices

• Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data and Cloud (AWS, Data Lakes, and similar).

• XML and JSON file format knowledge

• Software development experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Javascript, C++, Scala, etc 

• Experience with Object Oriented Concepts/Development/Modeling

• Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where digital is still evolving as a core offering.

• This position can be in either Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, or Peoria, IL and offers a flexible work environment.

• Up to 10% global travel
