Responsibilities

About the role

 

The Senior TreasuryBusiness Intelligence Analyst is responsible for performing in-depth analysis of financial information, preparing analysis of Cash Management and Treasury operations processes, participating in projects as required, and collaborating with Treasury Leaders to develop reporting related to key performance metrics that will assist the management team with making short term and long-term decisions.

 

In this role you will:

 

• Support Business Intelligence Manager by turning insights from our data platforms into actionable insights and recommendations
• Maintain thorough understanding of data, information resources, and processes
• Be the day-to-day facilitator and contact person to develop and enhance our analytics solutions that underpin our process improvement and operational excellence
• Interpret and manipulate large volumes of data to provide actionable insights to the business in a user-friendly way This will require understanding the business needs, the data structure of various input to provide the best output from Power BI to Cognos to Power Point to excel Provide regular analytics reporting and ad hoc data analysis to Treasury Operations and Cash Management teams
• Offer mentorship and guidance to other analysts, nurturing their professional growth and development
• Assist in developing and implementing policies, processes, procedures and controls for new initiatives
• Develop and sustain interactive data visualizations and dashboards by utilizing tools such as Power BI
• Develop effective relationships with different stakeholders to better understand their operations, strategies and service expectations
• Analyze data sources across the organization to report key performance metrics while working closely with technical teams to ensure the appropriate data elements is pulled from our data warehouse into the Business Intelligence environments for reporting
• Support the design and build of automated reports and Dashboards across various data sources to address keys business needs, with support of Audience insights
• Responsible for researching and understanding project requirements, participating in storyboarding sessions, write user stories, validate and test stories, participate in meetings, and support ad-hoc analytics
• Ensure integrity, accuracy, and security of data by implementing robust governance practices and adhering to industry standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Power BI
• Knowledge of Cognos Analytics
• Intermediate knowledge of corporate banking
• Exposure to consumer lending, commercial lending, leasing or corporate banking
• Knowledge of Oracle
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Sound knowledge of data visualization tools and methodologies, with hands-on experience in crafting interactive dashboards and reports
• Ability to work with all levels of management through daily interface and formal presentation
• Ability to translate large amounts of data into consumable operational and strategic dashboards and reports
• Cultivate a culture of diversity of though and accountability within the team, fostering open dialogue, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Experience using Business Intelligence/Data Visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau

Knowledge

• Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc. coupled up with a knack for data manipulation, analysis and visualization
• Proven leadership acumen, evidence-based by a track record of assuming ownership of projects and shepherding them to fruition
• Advanced SQL query skills
• SAS query experience
• Knowledge of corporate banking, financial analysis, and cash management
• Basic knowledge of best practices when it comes to data visualization, data governance, and scalable reporting
• Basic knowledge of ETL processes and best practices

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Math or related field required
• Masters degree Science, Business Administration, Math, Finance or related preferred
• 3-5 years cash management experience required
• 4-5 years of Business Intelligence or Operations analyst required
• Certifications in Tableau, Microsoft and Power BI preferred
• 3-5 years SQL required
• 2-4 years Cognos Analytics required
