KVC Kansas represents one of the strongest and broadest child welfare and behavioral healthcare continuums in the nation. We are responsible for the care of all children who are served by the Kansas Department for Children and Families in the Kansas City Metro and East Regions.

Kinship is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Kinship Department. The Kinship AA provides services and support to the Kinship Department.
The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- To continue to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure & stable; family centered; connected to the community; and which relies on evidence-based practice necessary to support contract services in Kansas.
- Submit DCF daycare applications and exceptions for relative caregivers.
- Track exception payments and assist in calling daycares to discuss payment options or issues.
- Organize and order safety supplies for relative caregivers and ensure a well-maintained stock.
- Make copies and organize new referral packets and ensure blank copies of forms are stocked.
- Order and manage gift card requests for kinship caregivers.
- Submit and compile a list of out of state background checks.
- Collect and input Notification of New Provider Forms within 24-48 hours of receipt.
- Compile, scan, and save all completed kinship documentation into their designated files.
- Help complete fingerprints for caregivers as needed.
- Complete monthly credit card statements, via tracked receipts, and navigate Zoho system.
- Participate in monthly all staff and kinship department meetings.
- Participate in continued training and educational opportunities.
- Required to travel between Olathe and Lawrence to work at both KVC offices; can have a main office at either location.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
Experience:
- Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email
