Form of workThe Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Administrative Assistant Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay rate of $18.31 to $20.71; based on previous relevant experience

- Monday – Friday schedule 7:45am-5:30pm with one late evening 10:15am-7:15pm.
Primary Duties for Administrative Assistant:
- Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the office,
- Handle a multi-line phone system, routing messages and calls
- Obtain and enter into the Electronic Medical Record system all necessary registration information for clients, update when necessary
- Manage client files (setting up new charts, maintaining active charts, processing closed charts, and all other electronic file-related activities)
- Accurately maintain therapists’ and doctors’ schedules
- Request, receive and record fee payments from clients
Administrative Assistant Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
High school education required; some college education preferred
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one year experience in working with the public in customer service position in a medical office setting is required.
