The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of the division intranets and computer systems. Duties include assigning and maintaining user access, installing, and maintaining software, responding to employee concerns relating to IT, troubleshooting IT issues, and writing policy documents and training materials for employees. Manages servers, network equipment, and other related IT infrastructure. Coordinates with company leadership to determine new technologies and enhancements for the company's systems.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities ARE BUT NOT Limited TO:
1. Set up and maintain user access for all employees.
2. Implements and manages users.
3. Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
4. Builds and modifies custom reports within multiple platforms.
5. Research, and recommend the purchases of new hardware and software.
6. Evaluate existing software applications and perform routine updates/modifications.
7. Installs and maintains new software and hardware ensuring licensing laws are followed.
8. Manages and maintains file server's software and hardware.
9. Write documents for user training and support.
10. Manages secure system access for remote users.
11. Audits system security and compliance requirements.
12. Performs other duties as required.
JOB Specific Skills:
1. Knowledge of ERP software setup and maintenance to support company and employee needs.
2. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
3. Knowledge of system security including intrusion detection systems and data backup/recovery.
4. Knowledge of Office suite including Access and Excel for Data Tables and relationships.
5. Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications [VBA] and SQL.
6. Advanced knowledge of system access and controls.
7. Knowledge of API usage within Access via VBA & and interaction with the Windows Environment.
8. Capable of producing comprehensive architectural diagrams and documentation.
9. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
10. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and Teamwork.
11. Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Education / Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Network engineering, or a related discipline required
2. Professional certification such as MCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent certification is preferred
3. 3 - 5 years of work experience working with Microsoft servers, systems, VMware, Linux, and software environments required
4. Skill to effectively analyze and solve problems, software installation and maintenance
5. Ability to work independently as well as with a team, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees & customers
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
