Job Description: The IT Specialist position provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. In addition, the pharmacy has growing needs in data reporting to various internal and external stakeholders. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers, have a wide and varied skill set, and be internally curious and driven to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Required Education/Training/Professional Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
- 1 to 3 years of Information Systems experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Products, Crystal Reports
- Database experience (SQL, MS Access)
- MS 365 Admin Center - Email Administration, applying/requesting proper licensing to end users.
- Understanding of MS Operating systems (Windows Server XXXX, Windows 10, Windows 11)
- Active Directory maintenance
- Preferred Education/Training/Professional Experience:
- Pharmacy experience preferred.
Core Competencies & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
- Monitor daily performance of computer systems through our internal monitoring software.
- Support data analytics team with building and running SQL queries.
- Create step-by-step training materials with screenshots for end users.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Work with software vendors to troubleshoot issues (NewLeaf and 8 x 8)
- Ask educated questions and listen to customers to determine root cause of issues.
- Work through the problem-solving process with customers, empowering them to do the same in the future.
- Setup new or reload current operating systems on workstations as needed.
- Report significant and recurring issues to the tier-2 support team as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
