Job Summary:
UNRL is a dynamic and growing company with a team-oriented culture. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Systems Technician to join our IT department and contribute to the overall success of our organization. This individual will function as the company’s primary on-site resource, supporting all departments with IT-related issues. We are looking for someone who can deliver exceptional and timely support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. With a small IT department, we are looking for a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT Help Desk by answering tickets and resolving tech issues companywide.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Manage Microsoft system admin duties to ensure staff members are equipped with the proper software, access & permissions for their respective roles.
- Manage all IT assets, hardware and software licenses; Accurately track inventory on hand and assets assigned to staff members.
- Oversee IT responsibilities for onboarding and offboarding employees in a consistent and timely manner.
- Set up, install, configure, and maintain employee workstations; Ensure all employees are equipped with the proper technology to perform their jobs efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT team members and outsourced contractors to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Promptly address and eliminate cyber-security threats; Establish systems and processes to prevent future attacks.
- Manage office security systems (cameras + door locks).
- Conduct regular system and software updates, patches, and antivirus maintenance to ensure we are always using the most updated software available.
- Oversee company network tools. Ensure internet, server and other companywide network tools are functioning efficiently at all times.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide employee IT training, documenting process improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support or a related field.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common business applications.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols. Knowledge of Ubiquiti UI is a Plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a patient and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
