TheIT Project Coordinator at Tideworks Technology will be a member of our IT team that supports the Carrix organization. The position will be responsible for assisting in the management of IT programs and projects, from start to finish in accordance with best practices and IT policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, and information.
- Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.
- Liaise with internal customers to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures.
- Address resource gaps as necessary and proactively escalate and resolve concerns.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
- Maintain feedback loop with key stakeholders to identify and implement initiative adjustments required to deliver increased business value.
- Optimize day-to-day operational aspects of one or multiple initiatives or agile teams.
- Identify and coordinate dependencies on other initiatives.
- Contribute and drive the development of delivery standards and tools.
- Removes potential roadblocks from the path of the initiative team by negotiating conflicts and resolving issues.
- Develop or contribute to communication plans and ensure communication effectiveness.
- Measure value delivered by initiatives, ensure value is realized, and identify opportunities to deliver increased value across initiatives.
- Aggregate and report on milestones or velocity burn and provides updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of initiative budget/effort discrepancies and identify mitigating actions for the future.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams to ensure development of cost estimates and project billing.
- Analyze and prioritize risks across initiatives and assesses potential impact.
- Foster a conducive working environment for initiative team.
- Leverage team building techniques to quickly bring new team(s) together.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years' experience with at least 1 year of managing projects.
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum preferred.
- Experience with project management tools, software delivery, and understanding of technology concepts.
- Experience working in highly cross-functional role, with multiple technologies. ERP implementation experience preferred.
- Experience managing project budgets.
Key Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience in IT project management, from conception to delivery.
- Knowledge of project management, SDLC methodologies tools.
- Knowledge of the principles and methods for planning and managing project initiatives.
- Knowledge of methods and tools for risk mitigation.
- Ability to make well-informed and objective decisions and ability to perceive the impact and implications of decisions by leveraging fundamental prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
- Ability to be a focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
- Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Proven ability to vary styles of interaction match the needs of a variety of business and technical audiences.
- Leading written and verbal communication skills.
