Logistics Support Group / Materiel Management Center / LA Logistics (MSO/LSG/MMC/LA Logs) is seeking an energetic, self-starting, high performing incumbent with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The incumbent serves in a unique enterprise logistics environment comprising a dedicated professional workforce with members of the Department of Defense (DoD), contractors, and various other Intelligence Community members. This position is located in El Segundo, CA on an Aerospace corporate campus and provides primary support to the Office of Space Launch (OSL). OSL is a unique operations organization with broad responsibilities that span the entire Space Vehicle (SV) and launch system project cycles with purview over initial user needs definition, to launch, and final SV de-orbit.
The position requires an incumbent with a solid understanding of logistical processes and property management. The incumbent is expected to work independently and manage multiple competing requirements. Duties include traditional logistic business lines of high touch customer service, project procurements, accountable property management, coordinating transportation of material, fleet management, Inventory Management and coordinating day-to-day operations. The incumbent effectively communicates at all levels within NRO, with Industry Partners, and with various service providers. As a result of these duties and expectations, the successful incumbent possesses strong time management skills.

What You Will Be Doing
- Manage government property for OSL at five geographically separated sites in coordination with eight property officers to include maintaining accountable property records ensuring data is accurate for periodic audits, manage transfer and disposition of property and perform annual wall to wall inventory of accountable assets.
- Coordinate and execute the transportation of both classified and unclassified material. This includes supporting inbound/outbound commercial shipments, packaging, creating transportation requests via Global Material Tracking System (GMTS), and picking up / delivering from the couriers/mail room and customers.
- Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations; prioritize customer work requests; provide technical guidance and direction to customers.
- Initiate procurements to include maintaining a Government Purchase Card and movement of supplies required to support major launch missions.
- Oversee the self-service office supply center to include stock levels management.
- Provide guidance to on site personnel on the functional areas of supply chain management to from procurement to disposal.
- Prepare and brief senior managers and other high ranking officials on logistics capabilities, policy issues, problem resolutions, and program accomplishments.
- Perform project management duties to include assessing furniture requirements, office moves and furniture assembly.
- Provide special function support (e.g. conferences, VIP visits, on site tours)
- Arrange for name engraving and ceremonial plates
- Plan, organize, and facilitate diversity and inclusion activities
- Create spread sheets, power point presentations, and space planning designs via Auto Cad
What You Need
- Knowledge of the principles of property management, to include regulations and policies regarding to accountable property.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and ability to respond to customer requirements quickly and thoroughly.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative to research and resolve issues, seek collaborative solutions, and build constructive working relationships.
- Ability to work effectively with senior managers in order to contribute to and influence decision-making.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on customer service, support, and the ability to compose and deliver clear and concise responses both orally and written.
- Proven ability to proactively work with minimal guidance and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher) to prepare reports, presentations, and maintain sharepoint site.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of supply chain management processes and procedures at the NRO.
- Working knowledge of the NRO's Enterprise System, Systems Applications and Products (SAP) logistics modules of Procurement, Property Management and Transportation.
- Experience using material handling equipment, ie pallet jack and dollies.
- Ability to drive large vehicles, ie: cargo vans and box trucks (Class C license).
- Familiarity with or ability to operate the Auto Cad Design tool to develop floor space drawings.
Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform and is typically in or directly related to the duties of the position as described above.   • Overtime Statement: MAY be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

2023 salary range for the Los Angeles area:
GG-12: $95,905 - $124,677
GG-11: $80,015 - $104,016
**This position is a Full Performance Level DCIPS position. The NRO is accepting applications from U.S. Citizens and current federal government employees for this position. Hiring Incentives

Trial Period
All new DCIPS employees will be required to serve a 2-year trial period.
