Job Title: Assistant Inventory Manager - Cannabis Dispensary
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Inventory Manager at Hightend Dispensary & Lounge. The Assistant Inventory Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting efficient operations within the dispensary. This position reports to both the General Manager and the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Inventory Manager in overseeing all aspects of inventory control and management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using designated tracking systems and software.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as necessary to prevent stockouts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with electronic records.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate order fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
- Collaborate with the management team to optimize inventory management processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations governing cannabis inventory management.
- Train and supervise inventory associates to uphold inventory control standards and protocols.
- Assist with other operational tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in inventory management, preferably in a retail or cannabis industry setting.
- Proficiency in inventory management software POS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and industry regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management or related field.
- Familiarity with state and local regulations governing cannabis inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
