What We Do:
Includ(Ed) offers full-time, inclusive preschool programs with a focus on early intervention. Our dedicated staff provides the support, care, and education necessary for typically-developing children and children with disabilities to succeed together.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Interim Preschool Director to join our team. This interim position, from March to July, is crucial for achieving licensure for our preschool program. The primary responsibilities include leading the licensure application process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and assisting the non-profit director in making any necessary modifications to meet compliance needs.
Upon successful completion of our preschool license, we will be hiring a full-time Preschool Director. The person who fills this interim position will be invited to apply and be seriously considered for that role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the licensure application process to ensure the preschool program meets all regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and regulations on a daily basis.
- Assist the non-profit director in making necessary modifications to facilities and programs to meet compliance needs.
- Help the non-profit director oversee daily operations to maintain a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all children.
- Collaborate with staff to implement inclusive teaching practices and early intervention therapies.
- Foster positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development from an accredited institution.
- STRONG preference for training/background in Special Education and/or Early Intervention
- At least one year of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable program.
- Three semester or equivalent quarter units in administration or staff relations.
- Possession of a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or a Child Development Program
- Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Part-time position, 10-15 hours per week.
- $27-$37/hour Depending on Experience and Education
