Preschool located in Northridge is seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Director. Our center prides itself in providing a safe and healthy learning environment to the children in order to enhance their growth and development, as well as an exceptional customer service to parents.
The Assistant must assist the Director with the overall school operations and promote the development of each child in a safe and nurturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
· Provide a safe, healthy and warm environment to children and parents.
· Assist the Director with the day-to-day activities/operations.
· Assist new and existing families with inquiries, concerns or questions.
· Ensure proper communication to parents and provide unparalleled customer service.
· Answer phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner and occasionally give tours.
· Oversee programs and activities to engage and educate children.
· Cover in the classrooms when necessary.
· Ensure all files and office paperwork are complete and up to date.
· Ensure proper inventory, order supplies and maintain storage room.
· Ensure everything/everyone stays on track and on schedule.
· Variety of administrative/office work.
· Follow and reinforce all school’s rules & policies.
· Ensure full compliance with federal, state and licensing laws & regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
· 12 ECE units minimum.
· Friendly, outgoing and, most of all, love of children.
· Team player who establishes positive, respectful and professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
· Able to resolve conflicts/issues in a respectful and professional manner.
· Demonstrate flexibility with the work schedule and assignments.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Knowledge of various computer apps.
· Demonstrate great organization skills.
