Insurance Customer Service Representative (Hybrid Schedule)

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team located in Jacksonville, FL. Upon completion of training, this position will be on a Hybrid Schedule, provided job performance expectations continue to be met.

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative responds to inquiries from policyholders, lien holders and agents on a full range of subjects including, but not limited to, policy coverage, payment, agent authority, and property insurance issues.

Job Duties

• Promptly answers incoming phone calls.
• Works on a team of eight where teamwork and interpersonal skills are highly valued.
• Provides timely, complete and accurate explanations to all questions and issues.
• Handles an average of 50 calls per day evenly routed among the team.
• Concludes all inquiries to the customers’ (agent, policyholder) satisfaction.
• Inputs data into computer to process endorsements, cancellations or other policy documents as required.
• Performs and completes special projects or tasks as required.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Able to type 35 wpm.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook)

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prior Customer Service experience required.
• Insurance industry experience and 4-40 license required.
