Basic Purpose
Interacts with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests regarding products and services. Resolves customer problems with accuracy and efficiency. Ensures excellent service standards and maintains high customer satisfaction.
Minimum Position Specifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Proven customer service ability.
Minimum Training Requirements
New hire checklist requirements. Seaway parts, customers and markets. Microsoft Office, ERP.
Physical Requirements
Computer – eyestrain and wrist strain.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deals directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or in person.
- Responds promptly to customer inquiries, issues and purchase orders.
- Manages and directs customer complaints and issues to the designated resource within the company.
- Obtains and evaluates all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries.
- Provides pricing and delivery information.
- Organizes workflow to meet customer timeframes.
- Maintains customer databases.
- Communicates and coordinates with internal departments.
- Follows up on customer interactions.
- Manages EDI process.
- Reviews customer contracts and terms and conditions as required.
- Coordinates return material authorizations with customers and internal departments.
