Under the direction of the Adult Services Supervisor, the adult Services Caseworker supports the operations of Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) programs, mainly the Nutrition (Home Delivered Meals and Congregate Nutrition) and In-Home Aide programs. Work includes organizing delivery routes, coordinating volunteers, supervising meal site(s), monitoring meal temperatures, obtaining referrals, determining eligibility for services, and overseeing contracts for HDM/IHA.
Examples of Duties
The caseworker must be Human Services oriented and possess the ability to interact well with co-workers, clients, and the general public. Caseworkers must respond to disasters as needed in accordance with Montgomery County DSS policy in the event of a natural or man-made disaster or upon the declaration of a state of emergency by the Montgomery County Emergency Management Office.
This position performs much of the work in the field although the day starts and ends in the office.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least two years of customer service/public contact experience to include interviewing, explaining information, compiling data, and the performing difficult mathematical tasks or an Associate's Degree in Business, Human Services, or a related field.
Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
