Regional Sales Manager

Remote Home Office; Territory is Kansas (Wichita-western Kansas); Oklahoma and North and West Texas.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced sales leader who will maintain and expand upon an extensive network of Processing accounts in the assigned territory (Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas). The individual will be expected to sell and promote PIP branded products to key processing accounts, while maintaining and growing existing distribution relationships and support within the territory. Candidates must reside within this territory due to 70% travel requirement to customers. We will not consider applicants who are not in close proximity to Wichita, KS, Oklahoma City, OK; and Amarillo, TX.

YOU ARE

A business relationship builder who can develop strong and sustainable relationships across multiple levels of an organization.

A natural salesperson who can effectively sell and promote branded PIP products to key end-user targets. You will promote the breadth of portfolio through direct sales calls and digital communication at both distributor and end-use levels.

A businessperson who knows how to assist with annual sales budget and you will report territory pipeline and performance metrics monthly.

An effective communicator with customers and distributors, you understand OSHA regulations applicable to the food processing industry. You will conduct distributor training across the territory and collaborate on where to find potential “wins.”

A problem solver who gathers and analyzes information skillfully to resolve problems in a timely manner. You will troubleshoot and mitigate product performance, delivery and competitive challenges.

A team player who will participate in select trade shows, customer visits and supplier meetings as needed.

You manage customers and selling expenses as if you owned the company.

REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS

4+ years of successful sales experience and a proven track record of growing customers organically and via new business growth.

Possess a solid understanding of retailer-based portals.

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture science, business, marketing, food process management or related field strongly preferred.

Strong analytical and financial skills.

Exceptional oral and written communications skills.

Strong computer skills including MS Office and ERP platforms.
