Job Description
Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consulting firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join its HR team as a summer intern. This position will last approximately 3 months beginning in May 2024. The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including updating employee records, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. This position is located in Billings, MT at ECI's Corporate office headquarters.
This is a temporary position within ECI's HR department. This position will be 30-40 hours a week for 3 months beginning in May. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing administrative tasks and supporting daily activities
- Assisting with updating employee records
- Assisting with the recruiting process including screening resumes and scheduling interviews
This role provides an opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience and insights into HR operations. The successful candidate will gain exposure to various HR functions like recruitment, onboarding, and employee development.
Education and Experience:
- Must be entering junior or senior year of college in studies related to business, preferably related to Human Resources or pursuing a masters with a concentration in Human Resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner with diverse populations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to work with highly confidential information.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, and climb.
