Description

HR interns at Caterpillar will perform challenging work while being exposed to a variety of HR functions within CAT. This may include, but is not limited to, assignments in recruiting, talent management, labor relations, learning/development, compensation and benefits, succession management, and related human resources disciplines. We work with our teams to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in the corporate environment. Our interns are placed in a variety of HR specialties and locations.

Session Availability:

Summer 2024 : May 13, 2024 to August 2, 2024

This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer

Position Location: York, Pennsylvania

Basic Qualifications

· Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Human Resources, Business with emphasis in HR coursework or Psychology degree with emphasis in HR coursework

· Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree

· Minimum 2.5/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)

· Expected graduation date of December 2024 and beyond

· 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university before the start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program

Top Candidates will also have

· Leadership experience

· Previous Human Resources internship or work experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills and decision quality - Collaborative team member with strong initiative

· Excellent customer focus

· Familiar with company policies and procedures
