We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist at our Ohio Distribution Center (OHDC). As a key member of our HR team, you'll work closely with operations leadership to ensure our workforce aligns with business objectives and values. This position reports to the Sr. Human Resources Manager.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. HR Manager and DC Operations Leadership to align talent strategies with business objectives.
- Generate insightful reports for leadership, including headcount analysis and leave of absences tracking.
- Manage, process, and meticulously track employee Leave of Absences, ensuring clear and consistent communication with employees throughout the process.
- Handle all aspects of Corrective Actions and Terminations with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide invaluable support to DC Operations Leadership regarding corrective action recommendations and Employee Relations matters.
- Monitor Employee Discussion forms and facilitate sensitive discussions with employees in partnership with operations.
- Process roster changes, promotions, demotions, and other employment status updates accurately and promptly.
- Act as a liaison with Loss Prevention to resolve any employee/contractor badge issues.
- Foster a culture of fairness and consistency for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage Worker’s Compensation processes including updating UltiPro and organizing files, providing support to employees as needed.
- Assist in new hire provisioning requests, job postings, and scheduling interviews.
- Offer proactive recruitment support, utilizing multiple sources including social media platforms to attract top talent.
- Verify employment and process background checks accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all employees, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Perform additional duties as required to support HR operations and initiatives.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Strong experience in Leave of Absence administration is highly desirable.
- Exceptional decision-making abilities.
- Prior experience in non-exempt recruitment with exposure to Employee Relations desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Jobvite, Indeed).
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
