Position Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing daily functions of the Human Resources department, delivering a variety of human resources services, and maintaining records.
What to Expect:
- Create and maintain an up to date job description library; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for positions.
- Complete compensation analyses; develop and maintain salary bands.
- Facilitate the performance management process; report on, notify management of and track the completion of performance reviews.
- Collaborate with management and provide performance management recommendations.
- Compile and analyze data for correspondences and reports.
- Support Human Resources functions. Serve as contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries and provide general employee information, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Process employment changes, including the completion of personnel action forms, sending email notifications, and maintaining employee records.
- Attend and participate in meetings regarding positions, compensation, employee performance, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain a confidential organized filing system for correspondences, policies, and standards.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualificationsand Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of human resources experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
