JOBTITLE:CDLDRIVER"A"/EQUIPMENT OPERATORSOLIDWASTE) PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
Under minimal supervision, operates and maintains trucks and other equipment in support of the daily operations of the Solid Waste-Recycling Division. Work involves loading, transporting and unloading materials and equipment; assisting with basic landfill and collection site maintenance tasks; performing equipment maintenance and repair, and performing related duties as assigned. Reports to the Landfill Foreman.
Requirements:MINIMUMTRAININGANDEXPERIENCERequires a high school diploma or GED equivalent Must possess a valid state CDL Class "A"
driver's license. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
PhysicalRequirements: Requires medium work that involves walking, standing, stooping, stretching or lifting most of the time and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis, and considerable skill, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving very close tolerances or limits of accuracy.
