The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment within the organization. The primary focus will be on engaging employees, enhancing morale, and improving overall job satisfaction. They will perform a wide range of HR functions for the night shift including supporting all employees, assisting with time and attendance, training and development, policy deployment, employee relations, recruitment and retention, payroll, and performance management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates communication between employees and management to ensure that employee concerns and feedback are addressed effectively. Collaborates with department managers to implement solutions and improvements.
- Serves as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues. Addresses employee concerns in a timely and confidential manner.
- Addresses employee relations issues, conducts investigations and recommends appropriate actions.
- Provides support to managers and employees in performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
- Identifies training and development needs within the organization and coordinates with the training department to develop relevant programs. Encourages employee participation in training and professional development opportunities.
- Facilitates new employee onboarding process including orientation, paperwork, and training programs.
- Assists in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
- Works with leadership team to implement employee recognition programs to acknowledge outstanding performance and contributions. Coordinates with leadership team to ensure that rewards are aligned with organizational goals and values.
- Assists with time and attendance for all employees.
- Works closely with the leadership team to maintain effective employee relations with all employees.
- Assists with the identification of training needs for all employees and provides training on HR related programs.
- Assist with the interpretation of current company policies to ensure all levels of employees are in compliance.
- Stays updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Member of company’s social activity team designed to promote a fun, healthy, and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Every employee is expected to participate in education/training about Mane’s environmental commitments and then actively apply this to job-related and job-specific roles and responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with Human Resources, Psychology, or Business degrees preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing setting required.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality required.
- Computer experience required with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
