The successful candidate will be accountable for a wide range of HR duties, such as creating and implementing policies and procedures, handling employee relations, supervising performance management, ensuring adherence to employment laws, producing compliance reports, managing employee training and development, and assisting with the administration of Payroll, Benefits and 401k programs. Moreover, the Human Resources Generalist will provide essential guidance and assistance to the organization’s leaders and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to assist the HR team and company’s management in HR matters.
- Ensure that utmost confidentiality is maintained for all sensitive HR information.
- Responsible for overseeing iCallidus workflows including new hires, terminations, etc.
- Ensure all employee information in the HR information system is accurate and up to date.
- Manage new hire process including all pre-employment testing.
- Assist with employee relations.
- Manage day-to-day recruiting activities involving internal and external job posting, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate interviews and share feedback with hiring manager.
- Maintain clear, regular communications with hiring managers regarding position requirements, sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, interviewing strategies, etc.
- Assist with termination process involving preparation of separation paperwork and exit interviews.
- Timesheet Tracking
- Update timesheets procedures
- Update timesheets calendars and communicate regularly with employees
- Reminders to employees and direct supervisors on completing timesheets
- Download and file reports for finance
- Continuously learns and applies working knowledge and application of federal government contracting (GovCon) HR requirements.
- Provides and applies support across all HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, benefits, leave administration, training and development.
- Advise company leadership team on policy matters including EEO opportunities, and make recommendations as needed.
- Provides management with coaching on employee-related issues such as performance improvement, employment law, employee relations, and terminations.
- Create best practices and policies.
- Oversee company compliance with reporting and record retention requirements to conform to regulations such as OFCCP and EEO.
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws applicable to HR functions.
- Creates HR policies and procedures for new and existing clients, communicates required changes, and interprets new policies to employees, managers, and clients.
- Maintains a strong ability to establish and foster positive relationships with employees, managers, and leadership at all levels of the organization while maintaining extreme confidentiality.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in progressively responsible HR roles.
- 3+ years of experience in progressively responsible supervisory or managerial roles.
- 3+ years of federal government contracting HR experience.
- Experience with multiple HR Information Systems, preferably ADP and Business Central.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
