The Archdiocese is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our Parish and School. This role will support all Human Resources functions for our Parish and School and will report to the Pastor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review all new candidates who have applied for positions at the Parish and school.
- Process all new hires and file their paperwork on a timely basis.
- Process all terminations and prepare and file all necessary forms in accordance with the Archdiocese of Washington’s Human Resources guidelines.
- Review timesheets and assist with payroll as requested.
- Administer benefits to all new hires and answer benefit questions from current employees.
- Process all salary changes and promotions for Parish and School staff.
- All recordkeeping and reporting for FMLA to Matrix.
- Keep contracts current for Parish and School vendors.
- All other duties as requested by Pastor and Principal.
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Practicing Catholic who fully supports the teachings of the Catholic Church a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective communicator
- Outstanding organizational and people skills
- Ability to focus, multitask, and work well under pressure; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and work independently.
- Must be able to think ahead, anticipate needs, initiate next steps, and maintain discretion in confidential matters.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability.
- Must be able to work as a team member and be collaborative.
- Interested in a 25 hour per week role.
Education and Experience
- High school graduate, some college a plus
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (word, excel, access and power point)
- Knowledge of Parish Soft, church management software a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of current Human Resources practices and procedures.
- Experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
