Immediate opening for an experienced full-time Human Resources associate to assist in managing our diverse workforce of over 90 employees in three locations. With administrative staff, salespeople, shipping associates, warehouse workers, field crews, and more; this individual will need to have experience in a wide range of departments and bring prior knowledge and logic to the position. Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing field a HUGE plus.
Job Description:
· Partner with leadership team to better understand and execute the organization of human resource and talent strategy as it specifically relates to our current and future needs for recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Maintain timecards daily for both companies’ hourly employees.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee related questions that arise around benefits, compensation, time-off, etc.
· Assist in renewing and managing the organization’s health care polices and secondary insurance policies.
· Manage the talent acquisition process. This will include recruitment, screening, interviewing, and hiring / onboarding of qualified applicants.
· Regularly collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings
· Routinely analyze trends in compensation and benefits. Research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Document as necessary.
· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Maintain records for our required Safety Program, annual trainings, and OSHA 300/300a filings
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology is strongly preferred
· Must have a minimum of 3 years in a direct HR Management role and must have experience managing benefit programs such as a 401K, medical insurance, and secondary insurance programs.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidence
· Must be proficient with Office 365 and Microsoft office programs
· Ability to follow clear instructions with little to no supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Thorough knowledge of Maryland employment and related laws and regulations
· Must be able to quickly learn the organizations HRIS
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to prioritize tasks and high level of detail
· Must be able to exercise excellent judgement

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
