SalaryThe HR Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Supervisor by assisting with training documentation, privileging & credentialing, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, file maintenance and managing communication within the HR Department.
Essential Functions:
- Work in conjunction with supervisor to create and track privilege & credentialing packets required for all designated staff.
- Coordinate mandatory training in accordance with the LCCMH training grid using the Learning Management System, Relias, including evidence-based practices.
- Create and track live events training; provide instructions to supervisors.
- Delivers orientation for new employees, emailing onboarding packets.
- Add new staff to the HRIS software Sage.
- Maintains and periodically updates agency organizational chart and staffing tables as needed.
- Prepares necessary forms regarding new hires, step increases, termination, vacation accruals for part-time staff.
Other Functions:
- Assists HR Supervisor with audits, gathering required documentation.
- Maintains departments personnel files.
- Attending Training & Staff Development meetings, participates as necessary.
- Conducts annual background checks and verifies license renewals.
- Assists in tracking and calculating steps and PTO for staff.
- Backup for payroll/verification of PTO
Employment Qualifications
Education:
Associate Degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience working in an HR related field preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Attention to detail; highly organized.
Other Requirements:
- Able to be confidential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintains a valid Michigan’s driver’s license.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: Entry: $ 38,050.69 6 months: $40,927.74 1st Year: $43,783.17 2nd Year: $47,201.02 3rd Year: $50,618.88 4th Year: $54,296.32
