Nature of Work
The purpose of this job is to provide front-line support to the Human Resources Department, specifically the Training and Organizational Development Division. Work involves executing a variety of complex administrative support duties and assignments for Human Resources' related functions, activities, programs, and services, primarily for the Training and Organizational Development Division. Work is performed with considerable independent judgment, serving as a liaison between the Training & Organizational Development division and city staff, external agencies/organizations, and the general public; and working with confidential information to maintain a variety of files and records using the City's HRIS and other database systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Administrative Support
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records pertaining to employee incentive programs. Including, but not limited to, Tuition Reimbursement and Professional Development, Employee Language Incentives; answers incentive-related questions as needed.
- Orders and maintains training supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a calendar of training schedules, meetings, and events; plans, organizes, and coordinates meetings, special events, training, travel, appointments, and facility room use.
- Maintains and updates the City's Learning Management System (LMS); provides technical support and guidance to employees using the LMS; generates reports and analytics from the LMS to monitor training progress
- Assists in the planning, and execution of training programs and workshops; coordinates training logistics, including scheduling, materials, virtual production and facilities
- Manages participant enrollment and attendance of training sessions
- Gathers feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Support orientation and onboarding programs for new employees.
- Assists in the development and delivery of career development/growth programs.
- Assists in development and delivery of team building/effectiveness programs.
- Assists in the development of training programs, including course development, training resources, and curation of training content.
- Supports internal change management initiatives, including communications and process changes.
- Promotes a culture of continuous learning and development within the City.
- Promotes support of a value-based culture.
- Contributes to the implementation of strategies to improve employee engagement and performance.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the City's employee recognition program
- Prepares a variety of reports for personnel management purposes; prepares statistical data for reports
- Maintains electronic and manual filling systems according to prescribed departmental procedures •
Minimum Training and Experience
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma
- At least two (2) years of experience working in Human Resources, employee benefits and/or employee records
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of experience directly related to Training and/or Organizational Development
