SUMMARY
The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive HR services in the areas of payroll processing, benefits administration, filing and maintaining personnel records, assisting the HR Manager in special projects, and other administrative duties as required for Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma, some College preferred
3 -5 years payroll and Human Resources experience
Good understanding of payroll processes and applicable laws
Must possess and project a professional image at all times
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and in formatting documents
Ability to meet the expectations of a fast-paced work environment
Attention to detail – high level of accuracy
Professional, with an understanding of the confidentiality necessary and required to work in a Human Resources departmentESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Send new hire/termination 101a’s to Payroll for processing in ADP.Edit employee time punches in ADP time keeping system.
Review time sheets for accuracy on a daily basis.
Run reports for internal distribution to various departments.
Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
Complete all wage/salary verifications.
Work with outside staffing agencies for payroll time verifications for temporary employees.
Administer attendance policy; run reports bi-weekly and follow through with managers.
Provide assistance to employees at PWI-2; seek assistance from HR Manager when needed.
Maintain personnel files on all location employees, including scanning of all pertinent paperwork into employee files in ADP.
Maintain employee awards programs, such as birthdays, anniversaries and safety awards.
Inform HOD of all employee hires/terms to ensure that the route information system is updated with employee water accounts.
Tend to all visitors and customers in compliance with our security procedures
