A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

As a Human Resources Assistant, you provide Human Resources support for our company. You assist with the recruitment and interview process including scheduling and participating in interviews, tracking the status of candidates in HRIS, and closing out candidates. You prepare new-employee files and complete new-hire orientation. You help administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and statement reconciliation.

You need to be a people person - you perform internal customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions escalating to the Director of Operations or Vice President of Sales as needed. Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our company goals.

Work with the Executive Team on employee handbook updates and procedure manual. Also, help reward our employees at corporate events and celebrations.

Periodically you will assist with preparing the performance review process, employee files organization, and employee engagement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

• Minimum Associate degree in Human Resources or 2 years of applicable experience
• Solid understanding of human resource concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite
• Experience with iSolved and iSolved Hire appreciated
• High attention to detail as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

This Human Resources Assistant position is part-time (24 hours per week) and works in our Corporate Office 3 full days per week.
