Position Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator / Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Department. This is a part-time Monday-Friday role. Ideally, the HR Assistant would work 4-6 hours each day.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails for the HR department
- Assist in maintaining proper records of employee leaves and attendance
- Assist with new hire onboarding process
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment as needed
- Ensure accurate communication with employees and timely resolution to their questions
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities
- Maintain safety and OSHA record-keeping.
- Act as a liaison in the Workers Compensation process.
- Update and maintain employee files
- Perform file audits to ensure all required documentation is collected and maintained
- Promote company culture and employee engagement
- Create and submit online job postings
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all situations
- Assist with additional HR needs as requested.
Language Standards:
- Must speak, understand, and write fluently in English
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ year of HR or administrative experience
- Associates degree or higher in HR, Business Management, or related field
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
- Ability to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
- Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to work under pressure to meet multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
- A valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with UKG (Ultimate Software/Kronos) is preferred but not required
