Function: To provide support to the Human Resources department with a variety of Human Resources activities. Communicates closely with all programs and departments throughout the agency to provide customer-focused and effective HR support services.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function;
- Responsible for ensuring the accurate and up-to-date filing of personnel documentation;
- Provides clerical support in all areas of benefits;
- Attends and participates in new employee orientation as necessary;
- Assists with recruiting efforts as directed;
- Assists with pre-hire requirements
- Assists with preparing for personnel file inspections and audits;
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree with at least two (2) years experience working in a similar environment preferred
- Intermediate computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organization, and good communication skills – oral and written,
- Strong interpersonal and partnering skills
- Must have a high regard for confidentiality and operate with a high level of personal integrity
- Must maintain a professional presence at all times and focus on customer service
- Flexibility with work schedule to meet the requirements of the department
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural diversity issues
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and manage priorities
- Ability to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and races
- Ability to effectively work as a member of a team
- Ability to work effectively with clients including intervention and relationship-building skills
